Before kick off against Stevenage, I thought that four points from the next two games would be a tidy return. Three in the bag, so by my reckoning a point tonight would be a good result. Hartlepool have settled into the season quickly, so maybe they will be coming down tonight with confidence - could make for an open match. Score draw.

Do we have to start worrying if the pitch is playable with all this rain? Thank you EFL.

Will probably pay the £10 to watch the game, instead of a 45 minute drive and no parking when I get there.
Question where do I find the PROMO CODE please.
Difficult team selection tonight in view of the success on Saturday.

Nothing whatsoever to fear tonight. As per last season, Hartlepool are bulletproof at home but terrible away.
We can win this tonight.

After the terrible disappointment with Oldham the last games bring back the confidence. Except for the last few minutes we dominated the game consistently, the shots statistics after 85 minutes being 19-2 in our favour! Two amazing saves from Bouzanis this time… Smith adds some strenght in the midfield, looked solid today.

A dominant display, even if we did have to suffer from the seemingly regular dose of ‘final 10 minute nerves’. Bouzanis certainly kept all three points at home with a couple of outstanding saves. Mid-table seems about right.

Thoroughly enjoyed that performance. I thought Sutton fully deserved the win and they’re settling in nicely into life in L2. Holding out in that last 10-15 minutes will give the team a lot of confidence, particularly Bouzanis.
…..and HTAFC won 3-0 at Blackpool as well to make it the perfect evening.
Great stuff.

Some of us will have feared that this would be a repeat of the Oldham game where we surrendered a 1-0 lead late on and ended up losing the game. This time though we held on during those nervy last ten minutes. 🙂
In the first 75 minutes we dominated the corner count, and it was following a first half flag kick that Ben Goodliffe scored the game's only goal.
Our league record is now W2D2L2,F6A6. Really quite respectable.

Deano was brilliant in goal today and looked solid, after a bit of a shaky start this season The back four are solid and Kizzi is a great addition to the side who also adds attacking quality. But we are defending well as a team which is what Matt clearly pushes for.
Early days but Smith is also starting to fit in. He wins the ball & holds up play well in midfield, he has a good pass in him as well.
I think all of Matts signings are now bedding in well and looking good. And you look on the bench and things look very good indeed. Still early days and a long hard season where good managers and teams will study us, but I think we can stay up and maybe even avoid a dirty relegation scrap, if we can keep our squad fit.
Keep it up lads.
PS, is it me or are we a bit quiet this year? Not singing as much and considering our crowds have had about a boost of 700\800 people, we have become quieter if anything? The only criticism I have so far this year..

I thought that the ball control was outstanding tonight especially Louis J, very intricate at times and certainly suited to EFL games.

if you look at the 2 min highlights, the chances shown are 3 (including the goal) for Sutton and 4 for Hartlepool. Extended highlights give a more fair image but it is still odd, Hartlepool played really poor yet they had 4 huge chances at their only four shots (two in the last 5 mins of the game). As mentioned before, this was pretty much a very one sided game for 80 mins, shots statistic being 19-2 (and 19-4 at the end). The pitch looked great even with the downpour of yesterday, that’s good news given that SCR starts to play here again too.
