That was one of the ones that surprised me and for exactly that reason. Although truth be told, that particular one didn't surprise me THAT much.

The crowd on Tuesday must have been the biggest crowd that we have had for a mid week mach. I don’t remember a bigger one, so it show how far we have come, so a new era has darn.⚽️

We had over 5,000 for the AFC Wimbledon first-ever game and the Larry Pritchard testimonial, and going further back I'm sure Mark can highlight other instances. H v Hillingdon in the FA Cup springs to mind (but that's a guess).
But none of those were league games.

The highest two midweek league gates that I can find from our National League seasons, when it is most likely to have happened I would have thought, are 2,246 against Lincoln in March 2017, and 2,206 v Dover in October 2017.

One can only speculate as to what the attendance would have been if the match for our highest Saturday crowd had been moved to midweek...

I think the Hillingdon match drew a gate of c7,000. I doubt any other midweek fixture before or since has beaten that.
