Just saw your blog on Beddington Corner FC, absolutely amazing!
I've had that cigarette card for a few years now, my great grandafther William Adaway is on it, I knew him well as a child but never knew he played football until I found that card on ebay.
British newspaper archive recently added a load more issues of the Croydon Times and I found a match report from 13th November 1935 that mentions him.
Do you know what colour kit they played in? I can see later they wore white shirt and black shorts but wondered what colour stripes they used to wear, possibly black and white? *edit, just seen the black and white stripes on one of the programmes.

The historical pieces take a lot of work to put together so sadly we can't do as many as we'd like, but they're great fun. Taz is still working on his effort for Post Office Engineers, so there should hopefully be another one out this season and Totts always has a couple of efforts tucked away that he's slowly working on...
