Looks like Eastmond at centre back on Saturday. Even with a depleted squad Will may struggle to get a start based upon last two performances.

I was not at tonight's game, credit to the supporters who went. Looks like Dean's three consecutive saves were the highlight of the evening. The cry from behind the goal of Deano, Deano will deservedly get even louder in future.

Very poor attendance, 770. I guess the freezing cold at the last two games took its toll The 2000 or so who swerved this game missed nothing other than the 3 consecutive Bouzanis saves in the shoot out, which I am sure will appear in the highlights. That and a penalty kick which cleared the crossbar, the stand and the mound behind to land in Colllingwood Rec. I can't recall seeing another spot kick miss by as much at GGL. Both sides started with their main goalscorers on the bench and the match resembled a training game. When the big guns were brought on by both teams to try and nick a winner it became more feisty. Given that the referee was Purkiss it is fortunate it wasn't a needle match from the start - he might not have retained control.

It was the 6 0 thrashing and he did score a hat trick. Poor crowd for recent times but 770 wasn't far short of what we got for the FGR 4th qualifying round match that started the 2016/17 FACup run.

Looks like Eastmond at centre back on Saturday. Even with a depleted squad Will may struggle to get a start based upon last two performances. Fully agreed, Will was terible last night (Bennet vs Leyton style) and not for the lack of trying. Good news Boudewijn is back though probably Korboa will start the next game.

Annoyingly the highlights only show the last two penalties. Enter the club site, latest videos section, make an iFollow acount (no payment needed) and you have extended higlights or even full match replay (the last not worth watching if you ask me).

If none of the (understood to be) injured players are fit for Saturday, could be a start for Dundo? We do appear to be picking up an excessive amount of injuries this season. I guess that this is partially a consequence of the players putting their bodies on the line week in week out.

I guess that this is partially a consequence of the players putting their bodies on the line week in week out. I think this is also a consequence of not being able to play half our matches on an Axminster carpet with top of the range underlay. Arriba! Arriba!

In summary, the teams through at the moment look like this
Northern section: Bolton Carlisle Rotherham Wigan Tranmere/Harrogate Sheff Weds/Hartlepool Sunderland/Oldham Crewe/Doncaster
Southern Section: Cambridge Charlton Chelsea U21 MK Dons Sutton Colchester Ipswich/Arsenal U21 Exeter/Portsmouth
Don't know the date of the draw or the next round, but if it's consistent with previous iterations of the competition, expect the game to be around 4/11 January.

Wasn’t able to get down to the Lane last night but happy to get through - Matt wants a serious run at this competition.
When was the last time we won a penalty shoot-out before last nights victory? Must be a while - I certainly remember losing shootouts at Slough and Bohemians plus Wingate & Finchley in the early years of Dos’ reign here.
On we go.
