I just happened to catch part of an episode of Pie in the Sky on the Drama channel this afternoon. It was a football-related episode called Return Match and the football sequences were shot at GGL! It would have been filmed back in the late 90s, but it’s something I was never aware of. It’ll be available to view on catch-up if anybody’s interested (Series 5, episode 5).

Interesting. I used to like PITS and watch it every so often when I'm in. I'll try to catch up.

It's not GGL, but I couldn't tell you which ground it is unfortunately.

According to the Wikipedia Pie in the Sky page, it's Basingstoke.

I saw that this afternoon. The football match towards the end of the episode was, I think, Marlow. Certainly wasn't Basingstoke.
