I'm a bit confused why you would walk through Collingwood Rec if walking to the ground from Sutton Station ! Surely down the High street until you reach the crossroads at the Old Cock hotel then down Cheam Road and down one of the many turnings that will get you to the ground.

Just seen on Sutton’s website that both Matt and Terry Bullivant visited the scene today and left a couple of Sutton United scarves, what a nice thing to do, also there will be a minute’s silence tomorrow before the match. Shows what a local community cloud we are.🙏🌹

Its a terrible thing to happen, I was raised in Collingwood Road, and went to Westbourne School, must of walked past those houses hundreds of times, people I knew lived in them. When I though of CW road I thought of my childhood and the club, now that has changed..

It appears that the 4 tragic victims were the grandchildren of AFC Wimbledons deputy safety officer, Jason Hoath.
I'm sure he will get the emotional support he needs from a decent club too.
It's so so tragic.

It's all very sad isn't it? My Mrs is particularly cut up about it as she used to see the four boys walking to and from the school just around the corner from us. She like many others originally thought they were quads, until she realised they were two sets of twins.
Sadly the article I read this morning seems to confirm what I had thought all along, that the Mum had gone out to the shops (Sainsburys) and left 3 and 4 year old home alone, as you do.
RIP Little lads. 🙏🏼 Nice touch to see the club get involved and do a little something.

I'm donating to www.childbereavementuk.org/ today, which is a charity that supports people after the death of a child (and also supports children who are themselves bereaved). I have made this my charity of the week and will be around the GGL end today giving homemade cookies, fudge, bread pudding and chocolates to anyone who would like one in return for a donation of whatever you can afford through the website.

Many thanks to everyone who has supported this. Hopefully those directly affected will get all the help they can, although nothing in the world can ever make something like that easy to cope with.
