As far as i know the Setanta cup is the new league cup and some matches will be televised. Dear god. It'll be bad enough televising a league game from the Warren between Yeading & AN.Other FC with barely 200 there, let alone some smegging league cup tie with barely 100 there! Will each club have to provide it's own commentary team? 'Tis true - The Setanta Cup will follow pretty much the lines of the old Uncle Urchin League Cup; ie regionalised north/south until the final. Not sure if the "Premier" clubs will be in it until the later rounds, though. Low crowds seem guaranteed, but presumably Setanta will be putting some sponsorship money in (and as delboy says, televising some matches). Anyone for Yeading v Team Bath on a cold wet Tuesday in January?

It cost more to take part than winnings of any sort from what I remember. The prize for winning didn't come close to covering the travel and wages...

One would hope that getting a game televised would make up for that. But live coverage of a game attended by 100 people is going to be unspeakably sh*t!

I just cant wait for Yeading V Thurrock...I wonder how many of the 88 would rather sit at home and watch it on tv?
I bet the tv people will say it was ordered to be played behind closed doors or something!!!!
