Time for a new ground, and our furthest ever league trip (a 660 mile round trip)
This is going to be a different prospect than in September. Carlisle are right up there in the form table with us and have not lost at home in 4 games (whilst we've not won away in 4 games).
Coming away from such a long trip with a point would be a good return.
At the end of Saturday we could occupy any position between 3rd and 7th. None of the clubs between 3 - 7 play each other although 1st play 2nd.

This will be my first trip to Brunton Park since 1975 when I was on a one term teaching practice in Egremont, lived in St. Bees and went to see Carlisle play Ipswich, QPR and Wolves in what was Carlisle's only season in the top flight. The old centre of the city around the cathedral is worth a quick wander around if you have the time.

Not a new ground for me either, but I've been looking forward to this trip, Carlisle being one of the more appealing destinations (distance notwithstanding!) in League Two.
I agree that the Cumbrians are likely to prove sterner opponents tomorrow than in September when we recorded our biggest win of the season. Since then they've changed their manager, with former Crystal Palace man Keith Millen now in charge.
Their recent form is mixed with two wins and two defeats in their last six games. They drew their last two home matches (against Crawley and Hartlepool) before losing 3-0 at Forest Green.
They've just signed defender Dynel Simeu on loan from Southampton. Anyone on here come across him before?

They might be up there in the form guide but if you take a look at who they have played over the last six games it explains a lot. Not saying it will be easy by any means but i think we might just have a bit too much for them now our squad are mostly available.
Not going up there in the depths of January and i was hoping it would be screened on I Follow as no Premier league teams are playing but not to be.

The weather forecast is interesting. Gales! 50-60mph at 3pm but a bit further north they’re getting up to 80mph!
Let’s hope the game goes ahead!

Weather looks decidedly dodgy. Carlisle are slight favourites with the bookies at 33/20 whilst Sutton are 17/10.The draw is 21/10. Safe trip for all those travelling.

I'm in Carlisle now. Weather is calm and unexpectedly mild. I'll post tomorrow morning if conditions have taken a turn for the worse.

Full credit to those Amber Army who are going to the game, a 660 mile round trip, they are a credit to the club. I will be closer to home going to see Worcester Park FC v AFC Cubo.
Safe journey all.

Good morning from Carlisle! It's a bit blustery up here, and we've had a light shower, but there's nothing to suggest that the game is in doubt.

Omar & Will missing from line up today. Haven't seen Barden in the line up or on the bench. Not in the preview as injured.
