Yet another great day. Congrats to all who went yesterday. Two good goals from TANTO and David. Must agree with earlier comments that Richie was M O M. The ref was a lot better than the two previous. Must have to mention A B coming on to the coach after the game to thank all for going.A nice gesture.

A later than normal musing from me. Mainly cos that was a marathon journey. Up at 230am and to bed about 3am. Had little sleep on the coach so as good as up for 24 hours. Probably shaved a year of my life but worth it for the three points. Yes, I am that cheap! Think I might opt for the train if there is a next visit.
A well deserved three points and as comfortable away win as U's have seen for U's in the EFL. Did the ugly stuff well, defending, blocking and Dean B was there when called upon. First half, with the wind advantage, U's were very good. The first goal was a decent strike from Tanto, the second goal a superb move involving great movement, terrific technique, a well weighted pass and strength and pace at the finish. Richie B was thwarted by a brilliant save while in the second, Enzio almost scored his first competitive U's goal after a fine exchange of passes with Donovan W late on. Carlisle improved with the wind but U's were pretty comfortable. Perfecy away performance.
Carlisle had their moments in the first half too their no 3 heading against the post following a fine run and cross by their best player, no 30 (Patrick?).
For U's, Richie B had his best game in a U's shirt and deserved a goal. He won so many headers and used them to either keep possession or set up another attack. A brilliant example of the art of c-f play. FLP had him as MotM and for once I agree with them. Can't agree with giving their debut making c-b from Southampton a 7 though, he looked very shaky at times and had to make a fine recovery block after allowing Tanto an opening.
Ref had a decent game but there wasn't much to do get get heated about and no complaints about our two yellows.
A fine performance from the squad today and a great one from Matt G after as his interview was short and sweet so we could all get off that little bit earlier.
Took the opportunity to walk in to Carlisle city centre and was impressed. Loads of bars (Gandermonium will give a far more expert run down I should think) but a mix of sturdy old buildings and the new in terms of architecture meant it retained a decent feel. Roads were wide and a lot of the side roads cobbled.
I liked Brunton Park too. The stand we were in was impressive while opposite there was a quirky fell with two little stands either side of the main purched high above a standing terrace that stretched the length of the pitch. The stewards were top class. No fuss, chatty and helpful. I think my favoutire trip so far, result helps of course.
Onto Bristol Rovers who had another red card yesterday before hitting a late winner. Hopefully I will be fully awake by then. It's not only the players blessing a midweek off (matches anyway!).

Following our great win on Saturday after a 600 miles plus round journey and another three points. Would like to thank once again the Away travelling support which has been brilliant this season. Even on Saturday after such a long journey in good voice. Full credit to the Supporters' who travelled on the coach and by other means. Much appreciated. John p.
