Really good to see comments like this. We may be a tinpot pub team from Surrey but we do have hearts of gold which makes us special. Sorry but we're not in Surrey. It's a London Borough.

As a Salford City supporter at the game I have to commend all the stewards in our end who were friendly, engaging and who joined in the humorous banter. Have to also say that I was impressed with your clubhouse which was spacious, comfortable and welcoming and it was good to have a chat with a number of your supporters before the game. Good vibes all round! Shouldn't you be supporting Blackpool? Prior to our takeover by the Class of '92 our colours were tangerine shirts and black shorts and contrary to a popular myth the shirts were not a hand me down from Blackpool when we were supposedly struggling to get a kit! While not a deal breaker I firmly believe we should have kept with our previous unique colours and perhaps adopted red and white as a change kit.

And we're not a pub team either Dave (being founded in a pub function room isn't the same thing). It's a mickey-take of those who look down on us without actually knowing anything about us

Nice comment on ‘the football forum’ today: Tough battle in windy conditions, Sutton are a quality side and their free kick was top drawer. We were sent out early second half and improved, deserved the point in the end although that looked a pen for that foul on March at the end. Stewards at Sutton were absolute class, good banter, said they hoped we’d win and even joined in chants waving one of our scarfs. www.thefootballforum.net/threads/saturday-12th-february-2022.23661/page-7

The stewards need to do something with a lot of the new young crowd that have started coming this season - they really are embarrassing and not presenting the club in a good light! The young lads we have following us away are brilliant may I add.

So the stewards in the away end are consistently hoping they beat us?

It's just a laugh! They're not Sutton fans, they're employed to do a job. Better to keep away fans happy and make them feel welcome than antagonise them, don't you think?
