Of course 3 would be great. It’s odds on, we’re gonna win 👍

FWP has this game down as a 1-1 draw. Which is the result we thoroughly deserved on the opening day of the season.
FWP have been wrong the last 3 games though.
Our last 3 matches against them have all had the same 2-1 scoreline. One of those to us (famously kicking off that FA Cup run) and two to them (both the last 2 league games). I remember a fine draw at their place in 2016 in our 2nd game back at National League level.

I remember getting absolutely soaked at their place. Our existing facilities for away fans is already far better than theirs.

Unexpected line up today. Great to see Harry and Coby back on the bench and Kenny and Ali both fit to start. Presume that Rob and Tanto are carrying knocks or unwell.

Good point that against a very good team also missing six players. Great too see Kenny Davis on the score sheet after the long lay off he’s had. So we are still unbeaten and five with a game in hand on Tranmere in second. Will have too wait for the highlights too see if the ball crossed the line from that header as some fans thought it had if it did or not still Very good point.⚽️⚽️

We reach the magical 50 point mark in just 30 matches after drawing with the runaway league leaders with the best away record in the country and extend our unbeaten run to 12 matches. Feel like I should be celebrating - but can't help feeling just a tinge of disappointment that after three consecutive home games (albeit against three good teams) and leading in two of them, we've slipped down the table slightly to fifth. I guess that's just an indication of how far we've come with this amazing team - and what a grumpy hard to please old man I've become! Tobi scored a vital late goal for Carlisle that could prove to be the difference between them being an EFL or National League team come the end of the season. Dos' woes continue as Havant lose 3-1 to Concord - Stefan Payne scoring the Havant goal. Nine games without a win now - their last win was on 11.12.21.

In an earlier post I predicted a point. In all fairness it should have been 3. A lot better game than Tuesday. We should have it sown up in the first half with 3 great chances. A few mistakes from the ref but one of the better ones we have had. V A R required for the disputed goal ( was it over the line? ) The number of times they fell as though they were pole axed I lost count. Did they go to the Bristol school of acting and falling down. Does the 50 points confirm 2nd div next season? As per Matt? Player of the game must be Kenny. A well taken free kick for his goal and an all round game in the midfield. Hope EASTY and TANTO get over their injuries quickly. Back to Bristol Tuesday for another tough game.

Great performance by the team and could easily have come away with all 3 points but for some last ditch defending from Forest Green. Most of the teams around us either lost and drew so a really good point gained.

Left Sutton today disappointed after 12 games unbeaten and drawing against league run away leaders, after we maybe should have nicked the win. This goes to show how good our team is doing.
Keep it up lads. Notice they are getting it on the deck a bit more as well, as we were pre Christmas!
Up the Us!
Coby and Harry on bench which was a good sight. But with Davis playing well it's more of a selection head ache for Matt.

A very good performance and we oh so nearly won it. It’s a bit of a shame our 3 home games this week have ‘only’ produced 3 points. However we’ve faced 3 very different challenges, all with good to incredible recent form, so I’m taking the glass half full approach and say well done all for being undefeated. Doesn’t get any easier but hopefully we pull up ok.
Smith excellent on return after enforced break. Wyatt decent too coming into the side, as was Will. Back 4 did well against a very offensive FGR, essentially close to playing 5 up at times 2nd half, with wing backs pushed all the way forward and an advanced midfielder behind the prolific forward pairing. We held out ok. Obviously we were watching the champions today and we more than held our own. Onwards we go.

Further. It was good to Alistair back in midfield. Also to see H and Cobi on the bench. It will give Matt more choices. As I said hope Easty and TANTO are not to badly injured.

None around me claimed a goal.

I thought the referee's use of the advantage was excellent today (for both teams).
