6 matches on tonight, including our upcoming opponents who host Northampton, Swindon who host improving Walsall and Port Vale who travel to Rochdale.
If Swindon win tonight, we'll drop to 6th which we were last in after our away draw to Bradford in early December.

Couple of sides with games in hand on us in action - Port Vale as you mention, Andy, and Bristol Rovers. Seeing them drop points would be welcome.

I'm a bit ambivalent regarding the best outcome of Scunthorpe v Northampton. Perhaps a nil-nil draw with a couple of red cards for Scunny.......

I do believe that it is a palindrome still.
Swindon spanking Walsall 5-0 means Sutton drop to 6th. Unless there is a comeback worthy of Lazarus about to happen.

Northampton and Port Vale both drew, results not unhelpful to us.
Our two previous opponents Bristol Rovers and Hartlepool both won away, which perhaps gives some perspective to our results against them.
The Walsall mini-revival under new manager Michael Flynn came to a crashing conclusion with that 5-0 drubbing at Swindon. We play both those sides away in a few weeks. 🤔

Right result but just a couple of bookings for the hosts. Good enough for us, as was Port Vale's draw at Rochdale. Bristol Rovers are picking up some momentum now, however. Ten points separate 2nd (Northampton) to 10th (Port Vale) now, obviously with a range of games played. We sit bang in the middle, 5 points away from each.

With those variations in games you quite rightly mention, on a PPG table, we currently sit in 7th on 1.59 PPG. Swindon are 6th with 1.62 and Northampton in 3rd are on 1.7. Port Vale and Bristol Rovers are in 8th and 9th, both on 1.53PPG
