We have now passed through the 10,000 landmark of sales for the Sutton end at Wembley. Not bad in two days. Great going everyone, now let's see if we can double that ! Or more !

With less than two weeks to the Big Day, we need everyone spreading the word to friends and family, or even to random strangers, to come and support the U's at Wembley. If everyone who is already going can each persuade one more person to buy a ticket then our target will be within reach.

If I recall correctly, when we reached the FA Trophy final against Bishops Stortford at Wembley in 1981, the attendance was about 22,000 and in 1969 when we played North Shields in the FA Amateur Cup Final at Wembley it was about 47,000. The 1963 FA Amateur Cup Final against Wimbledon attracted 45,000.

If we sell around 12000, Rotherham say 15000 (more pricey for them to travel for the casual), and add another 2 or 3 k for sponsors and guests. We are probably looking at 30.000. Though it will depend on how many turn up on the day or have a last minute urge to book up.

Latest tweet from Rotherham states they’ve sold 11,300 tickets, so it’s pretty even stevens. Deffo not out numbered.
