The Club is looking at ways of thanking supporters and the local community on 18th April to recognise the contributions made assisting the Club over the last couple of seasons, and particularly with respect to the Covid pandemic.
As a reflection of this the players will be wearing our Black "Thank You" kit for the game bearing the names of hundreds of Sutton Supporters embedded into the shirt. We would encourage supporters to do the same.
In addition we would like to recognise those connected with the Club that have been affected by the pandemic, and also to reflect on those associated with Sutton United, in any way, that have passed away during the past two seasons. It is hoped a mention in the programme for the fixture, and a visual image on the scoreboard can be displayed alongside a minute's applause before kick off.
If anybody has been affected, or would like to suggest anybody for whom such a memorial would be suitable could they contact me directly.

Lovely touch
Assuming an announcement will be made can I suggest the club take another look at the PA system. Ive stood in a few places this season - La Curva, Moaners Hut, Behind the goal - and its always just impossible to hear what is being said.
Such a shame - a recent example being the Hall of Fame inductees. Nice moment. Couldnt understand a word of what was going on.

Presumably Newport will wear Amber.

Presumably Newport will wear Amber. Neither of their away colours (light blue and white) clash with our black kit, so probably not.

A number of supporters came up to me today to appreciate the Club for today's "Thank You". It was great to see so many of you in Black, and the emotion of the minute's applause can't be forgotten easily. I was thanked personally by some of those who had lost loved ones - and therefore it is only right I pass that "Thank You" on to the wonderful supporters of our Club.
