I just wondered who was aware of it and who can produce such a thing if it's not club/league endorsed. If that's your genuine concern then you should have raised it directly with the club rather than circulate illicit material on the forum. I'm sorry that I'm not as self-righteous as you Trev.

Well I'm afraid he was kind of saying that I was endorsing this product. I've been following Sutton for almost 60 years. I was pointing something out which needed discussing. This is a forum after all isn't it?
I don't want others falling into the trap of buying something that doesn't benefit the club at all. I'm sure that knowing our support that hardly any, if any at all, will be bought by true supporters of the club. It needed to be clarified that these are not official club producys at all and surely somewhere like this is the place to highlight it.

Fair point, Trev, but you could also argue that by raising the matter here then some of the Sutton United community are "educated" that the merchandise is "hookie gear" and will, more likely than not, spend their money on the genuine articles bought through the club shop. Personally, got a lot of confidence that the average U's supporter would be happy to spend a bit more on getting high quality genuine merchandise and in knowing that the profits go to supporting the club they love. True, awareness is the best way to go IMO. It looks like these things do have legal loopholes and they obviously do sell. At the end of the day, people are free to buy what they choose with their cash, but it's good to address this unoffical merchandise and advise people to check before they buy. Buying from these sources doesn't help support the club, and ultimately other fans will see if someone is wearing an unofficial item which won't look good.

I had to look up what snarky meant!! lol As described by Lewis Carroll a Snark may be recognised (amongst other signs) by: "The first is its slowness in taking a Jest. Should you happen to venture on one it will sigh like a thing that is deeply distressed - and it always looks grave at a Pun." There are a few fitting that description on here.
