In the last hour or so, another deal involving a Swindon outgoing player (Harry McKirdy - due to be signing for Hibernian) has collapsed as Hibs were unable to reach agreement with Swindon on terms. As Lewis Ward is Swindon's number two keeper, they would presumably want to bring a replacement in before allowing him to leave - and perhaps they haven't been able to do so? We should know soon😄

Swindon have signed their keeper replacement - guy from Ireland A. BRANN -its on their Twitter account

Am I the only one finding the delay a little tedious?

Didn't expect to see us paying a (undisclosed) fee for a player this transfer window. Interesting to see how Matt will keep both Lewis and Jack happy as both seem to have come here with an expectation of playing (more) regular first team football. Presume that Brad will be given another loan move. Similarly Filip and Matt Kerbey?
Yet again, much credit to Matt Gray (and Terry Bullivant) for the work done during this transfer window. In spite of not having the financial resources of many of our rivals, we now have a decent looking squad with competition in all positions and a good mix of youth and experience. Personally, I think that the form of our two loan signings, Josh and Charley, could be key to where we finish this season. Early days, but at the moment, Tope looks like he might end up being our 'signing of the season'.
Incidentally, I noticed that Harrogate signed 4 new players yesterday.

It will certainly the interesting to see how the keeper position develops. Rose has been good to date and as you say it looks like both came for first team football. Brad House appeared to do well against Chelsea too, looks like he’ll have to head to non league for a spell.
Squad look in good shape. It will be good to be back at GGL tomorrow having missed all of August!

But really the interest is in number 1 for the bread and butter. I’m sure Matt has been very clear with his communications with them so they’ll know where they stand.

Looking at his stats, and including loans, I make it well over 100 games !

Lots of Swindon fans sad to see him go and really rate him. They certainly expect him to be number 1 here.
I have to say I think the squad Matt has assembled is looking really good now. Bit of a headache for him picking the side

I have to say I think the squad Matt has assembled is looking really good now. Now the window is shut this is my view also despite some worries in the early stages of the summer window. We seem to have recruited a nice blend of pro’s with league experience (Hart, Pierre, Rose, Ward) and potential gems in Neufville, Fadahunsi and Ogundega. I think I need to upgrade my season prediction of mid-table to play-off push now!

Couple of our academy lads heading out to Casuals on loan
Gucci made his debut on Saturday and played again last night for them, Tanner made his debut last night.
Good experience for both as Matt wants to provide them with some game-time in Mens football before integrating them into our first team.
