Thanks Sutton Podcast. Club printed a schedule of 6 pre season friendlies and as far as I can tell none of the first 4 took place with little or no explanation on social media (that I saw anyway).
The only friendly played so far wasn’t on the list!

I know officials at the Club read this forum so after an unsuccessful e-mail to which I received no response I'll post it here. Many months ago I raised the question as to why there is not a page in the programme dedicated to our Women's team detailing fixtures, results, league position? Following the events of last night, now more than ever would be a good time to raise the profile of Women's team. With the increased interest in the Women's game more accessible information across Social media can only be positive and maybe increase spectator numbers and revenue.

I think you may be doing our team a disservice Suttonpodcast. The pyramid system for women's football is quite complicated because the steps below the Women's Championship have so many regional leagues at each level, but taking the top level WSL as Step 1, we will effectively be playing at Step 5 this season - equivalent to Vanarama National for the men.
Women’s Super League
Women’s Championship
National League Northern Premier & Souther Premier
National League: Div1 N, Div 1 Midlands, Div 1 South-East, Div 1 South-West
Regional Leagues, including London & South-East Women’s Regional League

The phrase "I think I have it" is generally a sign that I do not have it all.....
Thank you.

Did the team ever receive a trophy last year? I’ve seen no photographic evidence of it and don’t recall seeing it at the last home match when the title was won.
It’d be nice (if we have got it) if it could be paraded at a mens home game.

Thank you must admit to just looking under the women's team on the official website rather than instergram Yes, I’d done the same. Last season’s result are there but no fixtures for this one - yet ….

Yep, a fantastic display by the lionesses, played like lions, and they saw that last 5 mins out really well. I think the men's game should look hard at itself, today we saw a family atmosphere, no trouble, no bars open outside the ground pandering to the wrong sort. I am as impressed with what goes with the women's game, as I am unimpressed of what comes from EFL football, bars, barriers, and louts. Really impressed with the Women's game setup, and well done for doing something the overpaid England men's team can't do, actually winning something.. Os has summed up my own feelings pretty well. The team (including the manager) showed great skill, a great will to win, humility and intelligence. Leah Williamson played centre-half and went through the tournament without having to make a tackle - shades of the late great Bobby Moore. The phrase 'role models' is applied too often to people not worthy of the title - the lionesses are worthy. On a weekend when this board has highlighted the inappropriate behaviour of some Sutton supporters on Saturday, 87,000 people at Wembley showed what the experience of attending a football match could/should be like - very unlike the behaviour of England fans at Wembley at the men's Euros final against Italy. The Lionesses have more than earned the right to be treated as equals to their male counterparts - men's football has a lot that it could learn from the women's game. The Lionesses played with smiles on their faces - and they have put smiles on the faces of a nation. Its sad to think that if a EFL club tried to play a men's match with the same family friendly atmosphere of a women's match, they would probably be fined. A lot of good work went into our club when we were NL, to get families in and promote the community aspect of the club, and to put forward a friendly atmosphere. We had a couple of thousand school kids in on our community days, and even invited groups such as MENCAP to come and enjoy a match day. With EFL football those days have gone, and its a question of how many bars can we get in, and how much alcohol we can sell before during and after the match. As I say I think the men's game needs to take a long hard look at itself, and maybe try working towards the women's model of the game.

Lionesses to play USA at Wembley on 7th October. What an absolute ballache trying to get tickets. i was 48000 in the queue just before 8pm last night. When I went to bed at midnight i had gone down to 32000. Woke up at 6am and had lost my place so started again. Only had to wait 90 minutes before going on the site and getting tickets!
