So with our Summer transfer business nearly done and dusted (based on what Matt has said we may still have another keeper coming in) - and presuming no further outgoings, how are we looking? Matt has brought 10 new players in without (so far as we know) spending a penny on transfer fees - which is remarkable. If you look at some of the incomings/outgoings, we have Josh coming in to arguably replace the departed David, Charley coming in for Tanto, Jack coming in for Dean and Aaron coming in for the injured Ben. I guess only time will tell how effective these replacements will be. Sadly, things don't currently appear to be going so well for some of our outgoing players, with Dean and Ricky currently warming the benches at Reading and Woking respectively and David and Tanto struggling to make the bench at Peterborough and Millwall respectively.

Tanto is currently injured - but was struggling for game-time before the injury. Garry Rowett, Millwall's manager, recently said that Millwall would not be allowing certain young players to go out on loan this season even though they were unlikely to get much game time (because Millwall have a relatively small squad) - and Tanto was understood to be one of those players. David Ajiboye's hopes of playing time have been hit by Peterborough signing Ephron Mason-Clark from Barnet - who is also a right winger and appears to be rated more highly by Peteborough's manager than David. David wasn't even on the bench against Derby on Saturday and although he was on the bench last night for the EFL Trophy match against Stevenage - the Peterborough team was effectively their reserve team.

Yes, it's been a great summer. Little rain, good amount of sunshine. Many of us able to travel properly without restrictions for the first time in a while.
In all seriousness, perhaps its time to get to stage 5 of the kubler-ross model. Whilst I wish them all the best, how Ajiboye, Bouzanis and Tanto are doing this season means very little to me in the context of our season. They've gone and won't be back for a while, if at all.
Early days so far but Rose, Neufville and Tope especially look like quality signings already, whilst I hope others will show their value as the season goes on.
