Manager with a club for 11 years moves to a bigger club he used to play for is probably the furthest away from the "managerial merry go round" you can possibly get of course.
More relevant to us of course is that Matt Bloomfield, the ex Wycombe player and most recently former manager at Colchester is their new manager and means that the recent upturn in form by Colchester could be affected by having a new manager in place.

Oh look! Oxford Utd have just parted company with Karl Robinson. So Matt moves up to 8th.
And if we're just counting EFL managers, he's 3rd.

Matt is now upto 7th longest serving manager in the top 4 divisions after Leicester sacked Brendan Rogers.

Indeed. 3 x Premier League managers ahead of Matt - Pep, Jurgen and Thomas Frank - I guess they have all done ok!!
John Coleman at Accrington Stanley - currently in bottom 4 in League One - but incredible that they are in League One at all given their resources;
Mark Robbins at Coventry City - Has done an incredible job over the years considering Coventry did not have a home ground of their own for some of that time;
Simon Weaver at Harrogate - Comfortably top of the pile at over 13 years in charge. Yes - it helps that the Chairman is his father - but managing a club that has been on a similar journey to our own is not easy.
West Bromwich Albion once had the same manager for nearly 46 years. Makes the likes of Sir Alex and Dos look like part-timers.
Incidentally, I've been really impressed by the managers of the top 4 clubs in the WSL this season - and Sarina of course.

Now what's to stop Chelsea going in for Roberto Di Zerbi, Brighton's latest manager after all he is doing a lot better than Potter, there should be a law that prevents managers changing clubs during the season

Maybe have a 'transfer window' for managers as well as players?

Leicester didn't even wait for Emery to turn up with the scythe on Tuesday before giving Rodgers the boot. How about Klopp for the chop on the last day of the season?

Maybe have a 'transfer window' for managers as well as players? Can't see that happening. It seems a bit unfair to make a club stick with a manager who isn't working out. Players can be dropped from the squad, not so managers. I'm sure there could be some sort of similar rule though.

Being a Sutton United supporter, the concept of 'a manger who isn't working out' has been unfamiliar to me since at least pre-2008.
