I heard about this, I think its really important for the supporters club to maintain its independence and not allow itself to be assimilated into the core of the club.

The supporters club has been established for many years. It's primary function is to get as many Supporters to away games to support the team.We run clean reliable ,and safe Coaches as competitively priced as possible.E.g The return fare to Gillingham was £ 15 a Bargain Price !! We are able to offer door to door travel, with often a stop for refreshments en route. The cost to join the S.C. is £10 for Adults, £5 for Juniors and Silver Surfers. To join just Call in to the Yellow S.C.hub, which is located at the G.G.Lane end of the Home stand, Speak to John or Iris, Call in fill out a small form, and hand over the cash, cash only no cards.NO ONLINE ENROLMENT ,The membership fee is for the whole season. So you can travel to all 20 away games for the same membership fee.We have many solo travellers who regularly travel in a safe environment and make friends . Come and join us you will be most welcome. Membership is open to All.

A point raised in the previous post. Door to Door means GGL and back to GGL.

Sorry wasn't there, too far to drive back up for.
However, having had Covid booster Wednesday morning I have been pretty wiped out since and driving anywhere would have been irresponsible.

This is just my view attending the meeting nothing official. 1) the supporters club lost its main source of income when the club took over the shop and feels sidelined 2) John Parsons works extremely hard to maintain the facility of an away day coach. The coach usually runs at a loss with the Supporters Club making up the shortfall from remaining funds which might not be sustainable beyond this season. 3) matchday fundraising is prevented because of a lack of volunteers or interest. The present club officers will embark on an effort to recruit new interested parties like (sufc1898 ) to help. 4) A young vibrant supporters club Chairperson needs to come forward by the beginning of the next season as the hard working current emcumbant is standing down.
