I see the club has regrettably had to issue a warning about the decline in crowd behaviour and following the Salford game issue two banning orders.
I think they should be a little bit more specific about what language won't be tolerated. We have all uttered the odd "f & Jeff" when the 6 minute board goes up and we inevitably concede a goal in the 94th minute.
It is unrealistic to expect the crowd to be nuns and monks on a Saturday afternoon otherwise we won't have a crowd left and neither would most clubs.
It would be helpful if the specifics of these bans and the reasoning were shared.

I'm pretty sure effing and jeffing alone won't get you banned. There's a difference between swearing (mere use of profanity) and abusive/discriminatory language (which is directed towards another person or group in a way that's intended to harm them).

As banning orders cover a wide range of offences, I don't think it's safe to assume that it was for a specific reason (unless of course you are the banned person or witnessed the offence), and I don't think it's appropriate to know specifics of it. It could be anything fron trying to get into the ground drunk to the use of an offensive weapon. And at the end of the day, the individual is responsible for their own behaviour. If one thinks that using a couple of swear words is going to get them banned, that's paranoia. Invariably a banning order is a serious offence, which sometimes leads to a criminal conviction. If one can't measure ones own language, then if they do step over the line, I fully expect our club (as well as others) to use a "having a quiet word/warning" before any banning order is issued. I'm sure it's not a decision any club, especially our own, would take lightly. Therefore one can safely assume that the offence is serious enough to warrant it.
In terms of language used - well to be honest if you don't know what is appropriate or not (especially by the time one is an adult) then you could be told and you still won't change the language you use. Some language is specifically stated in law (the Equality Act 2010) such as discrimination on the grounds of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender and religion for example.

Well where I was standing you could hear explicit misogynistic songs aimed at female supporters so I'm sure that was the main problem.

If this is what the club is referring to ( totally unacceptable I agree) then should the club for clarity refer to misogynistic songs as being a specific problem - then the morons my learn. If it is for running on the pitch - they say should say so If it's for carrying a weapon or having alcohol - then say so We are not saying that individuals have to be named.

Do you honestly think the club should advertise if someone had brought an offensive weapon into the ground? Just take a minute and think about the implications of that.

I don't think that was the case. Just stupid kids who really don't understand what they're singing.

Make that 1,199. Don’t include the knob who thought it was funny to break one of the seats. 🙄

I saw one of the stewards with the broken seat. I am not surprised that it was broken as some of the "no comment " were standing and jumping on the seats!!
