Not a red for me. No intent, has just nicked him. The foot is high because the ball is high, he hasn’t gone over the ball dangerously or anything. No way is a player going to get injured on that contact. 3 minutes in and ruins the game. I’d be furious if I paid all that cash to go to Stockport to watch a glorified training session. Likely won’t get anything out of an appeal too so that’s 3 games without Bugiel probably.

Compare it to Mitrovic foul against Everton on MOTD. Only yellow with ‘benefit’ of VAR. 3 match ban vs zero. Joke.

Compare it to the one on against Walsall, which was a yellow yes it was a 2nd, there is no consistency. Compare it to the one after 20 seconds, by Brown, which arguably was just as bad if not worse.
There's just no consistency between refs.

It does look as if we have the basis for an appeal.
The red card ruined the game for the travelling fans, and some of us then had to endure a 55-minute delay to our (already long) train journey home. Not the great day out I'd been looking forward to.

Here are a couple of stills of the incident. Doesn’t look good however I don’t believe there was any malice in Omar’s attempt to win the ball.

Which only goes to disprove the saying the camera never lies.
