Suprised there isn’t a thread.
I see the covers are down on the pitch what are the chances of the match being on.
A few snow showers happened already this morning in Sutton.

These are the sort of home games we simply have to win if we're going to keep our heads above water. Expect another low quality slug-fest like the Rochdale game. Hopefully we can grind another 3 points to set us up for a vital run of games against Crawley and Gills (after our customary 4-1 thumping at Brisbane Road). Any news on Will Randall? Seem to be quite a few fans who don't fully appreciate how important he is to the team this season. He's our only creative player and the only squad memeber performing at or above their high levels of last season.

In terms of Will, as I said at the time Ajiboye left, I'd be more concerned if Will went, and it's nice to have been vindicated. I agree he's been underappreciated but simply as he was compared to Ajiboye, I thought, unfairly. He's a class player and he's the one I'm currently most concerned about in the January transfer window. Colchester of course have the worst away record in the league. They've managed 1 point on the road (out of a possible 30), but to be fair they've not been hammered on the road and have not lost by more than 2 goals (which is something we can't boast). It's been nearly 2 months since they got a point away (at Walsall) but overall, like us, their recent form has not been great - although they have scored more than we have, they've managed 5 point in the last 6 games (which we've got 6 over the same period). They're certainly one of the weaker sides in the division currently, but as we know that means very little if we can't play our decent game. Having Smith back is a huge bonus as we will have a more attacking minded midfielder available (even if it's not for the whole game) it will give us more attacking options than just relying on the wing play. Whilst the AFC league game was a bit of a false dawn, the last couple of performances feel like we've turned a bit of a corner. 4 games tomorrow are already postponed Carlise v Barrow Crewe v Leyton Orient Rochdale v Stockport Salford v Walsall The majority of the games this weekend are relatively local.

Bit disappointed that it’s a 3pm kick off and so clashes with the World Cup.

Yesterday evening's win for Hartlepool has dropped Colchester into 2nd-bottom place, so there'll be scrabbling for something from this game. One player we'll need to beware of is attacking midfielder Alex Newby who scored the first goal against us at Rochdale last season and last weekend scored with a stunning free kick at Mansfield (though Colchester ended up losing 2-1).
We did beat Colchester three times last season (league double plus at home in the Papa John's). I'm sure we'll get chances in this match; as ever, finishing is the key.
With Adam Lovatt unavailable, we might see Ali Smith starting alongside yesterday's birthday boy Craig Eastmond.

Covers just coming off. Referee arriving early for a precautionary inspection. Fingers crossed but you never know until you can take a proper look.

Huge 3 points in the context of the season as a whole. More than half way towards 50 points in less than half of our games and 12 points clear of the bottom two.
