From the Ramsgate forum...............
Good game, fair score IMO, although we will be very unhappy not to have scored 3+, Dan Tanner had as good as a performance as any Ramsgate defender has had since i've been watching the club, superb, well done Dan.
Still think we need some pace upfront, think we were wasteful at the business end of the pitch tonight, Mo should have had a second header Wazza attempting an overhead kick from six yards out and missing the ball altogether amongst others.
Must admit i liked having three centre backs, something i am usually against as players become indecisive and dependant, but it worked tonight, allows Ash and Dowley to head forward, think the pair of them spent more time in the Slutton half than our own. Maybe give it 2/3 training sessions we will start opening our bodies up, and switching it when we have the overlaps on the flanks.
Sutton looked very good to me, the flat back four they played i thought was superb, very rare to see a side manage to keep the shape like they did, not allowing themselves to be dragged out of position, and played the offside trap well. Having Dos Santos and Chuck upfront, they will score goals inabundance too. not many teams will take a point from Gangrene Lane, but we could have had three, we gave it a real crack.
Thought the officiating was poor tonight, bad decisions both ways.
Good game by Delo, that must be added due to recent debate. He made some good saves, although was not tested too often.
Suprised to see Ben Laslett, or Leg It, as the PA called him on the bench, one of the first names down IMO, maybe a injury there?
Minshull had a poor game by his standards, but by no means awful, just didn't really get hold of the game like he usually does.
Mo didn't play aswell as he did Saturday, although his goal was very well taken indeed. A pacey forward would complement him well I believe, although i am sure some will say he can only play on his own.
Take a lot of positives from tonight, a deserved point away from home at the league favourites on a wet Tuesday night, COME ON YOU RAMS
