Reckon itāll be fine, day time temps are reasonable and sun due to be out. Maybe cover Friday night to keep the frost off just to be sure.

Wimbledon just announced the postponement of their FA Youth Cup game against Leeds, scheduled this evening, due to a frozen pitch, inspite of āmaking all the effortsā to play. It was +6 degrees in the afternoon but it seems it wasnāt enough. To me, thereās a 50% chance Crawley game gets postponed too unfortunatelyā¦

Can't see it being played.
The frost will take a while to thaw from the ground and daytime temperatures need to be consistently higher than they currently are.
Even when the sun had got on the worst affected area on Saturday it was still icy.

With overnight frosts forecast to continue until Wednesday, I'd expect this fixture to be put back to next Tuesday (31st), when it's expected to be milder (with the Crawley game rescheduled for 7th or 21st February).

I have great memories of W&H games in the early 70s.
Anyone remember losing 1-0 to them in 1970 ish in the FA Cup at their place. 4th Qual. round I Think - very tense game - they scored in 89th minute from a corner.
Anyone remember a great 2-2 draw at their place circa 1972 - cannot remember the competition - but I will never forget Graham Dennis's 25 yard screamer to make it 2-2.

7th Nov 1970 FA Cup 31st Oct 1972 2-2
I was at both of those but don't really remember them, other than the sense of disappointment at losing in the FA Cup so soon after the Leeds game and beating them in the Surrey Senior Cup Final in the May. Walton did have a really good team in the early 1970s, I did go to Wembley to watch them win the Amateur Cup.

That goal in the FA Cup tie was scored a lot earlier than the 89th minute.
It also came from a controversial free kick award.
The 2 2 draw followed up a 2 0 home win,two of Sutton's better results during the 72/3 season. W&H gained revenge with a 3 0 Amateur Cup 1st round victory at GGL setting them on their way to winning the final at Wembley.

Quiz question for the real anoraks (me included).
Which diminutive right winger scored his first senior goal for Sutton at Walton during the 71/2 season and followed up with another in the next match at Barking, his only competitive goals for the club?
Sutton lost both matches by 2 1.

I liked him, a bundle of energy, but we seemed to go through wingers like socks around then: John McBryde, Micky Butler (I think he was a winger), Geoff Evans, Terry Molloy, Phil "Lino" Wilson; there were others too I think
