Scraped by 2nd half. Different game but we stuck it out. On balance deserved the points given we also struck the woodwork twice. Fair effort from Harrogate 2nd half.
I would think Ajiboye was bound to come off given his lack of proper football, not sure there was anything much wrong with him.
If we can keep ourselves fit we are looking in great shape.
Great save in there from Jack Rose too, a match winning one. The penalty calls evened themselves out as thought we should have conceded one too.

The save by Rose, given the deflection, was world class. He did brilliantly to push it over the bar.
Angol looks to have a shot on him.

That save by “Rose” was world class, any keeper in the premier would have been proud of that. So well done lads dug in and got the result and also thumbs up to “ajiboye” for his goal, the pace we’ve been missing. ⚽️⚽️⚽️👏👏

This result lifts us to 11th, and is the sort we need if we're to have a shot at the play-offs. Dominant in the first half, we should have been more than 1-0 ahead at half-time, though David Ajiboye showed the value of his return to the club.
With four half-time substitutes on the pitch, Harrogate had much more of the game in the second 45, but we dug in for the three points. Ben Goodliffe was key to that achievement, as was Jack Rose who with one save showed why he's Matt's first choice keeper.
Lee Angol and Matt Dennis made their Sutton debuts up front in the second half and the former looked a particular threat, going close with two goal attempts.
On to a home game against Stevenage who will pose a rather different challenge.

The starting xi was similar to our best xi of last season with Jack for Deano (who was occupied with matters at Old Trafford today) and Donovan for Tanto. I'm not sure that we would have kept a clean sheet in the second half a month or so ago - but as Amber Aleman correctly identifies, Ben's return makes a big difference - not only in terms of his own performance but also in the way he impacts those playing alongside him. Highlight of today - David A's smile. Congratulations to Sol as well whose prediction for today's game was the closest to being correct that I can remember from him. Interesting to see who Matt starts up front against Stevenage now he appears to have some real options.

Given our form and some of our football today I’d be very surprised if it was anything other than the 2 that started today! Injury permitting I’m sure we’ll be unchanged for next Saturday.

It was a joy to watch the 1st half yesterday but something of a nail biter during the second - whenever we got the ball we could not make it stick. Understandably everyone is delighted to see David back in an amber shirt, doing what he does down the flank, getting behind the full back and driving into the area. And what a great goal too!! Honorable mention from me re Donovan (who has had his critics this season due to his lack of goals). I thought that (particularly in the 1st half) he had a great influence on the game, involved constantly in build up play, continually disrupted the Harrogate defence and generally was a thorn in their side.

Arrived to stay with my mum in Birstall (between Huddersfield and Leeds) an hour ago. Heading over to Ripley just north of Harrogate tomorrow morning to see a dear friend, then off to the match, then back out to Ripley for dinner out in Harrogate afterwards. Looking forward to the whole day. The chap you spoke to outside the turnstile was just telling me he was from Huddersfield I also had a chat with another Sutton supporter on the terrace that originated from Middlesbrough, along with his mate who lives in Harrogate. So that’s at least three Yorkshiremen out of 141 Sutton fans yesterday (I’m not from Huddersfield BTW, just always supported them, I’m from Birstall).

At last! We win north of the Thames and further than 18 miles from GGL for the first time since..erm... we beat Harrogate on the last day of the season.
The first half we had quite a swagger about us. We really should have been out of sight at half time though. Harrogate looked pretty weak and in the 2nd half we let them back into the game, and if it wasn't for a fantastic save from Rose, we would have been coming away with 1 point instead of 3.
No one really had a bad game yesterday, and I echo the comments about Donovan. Thought he had a terrific game, almost playing more like Omar than Omar did! If I had to pick a MoM it would be Goodliffe however. He was mighty and back to his best after a long time off.
Shame Stevenage didn't get a draw so their mind would be elsewhere come next Saturday, but let's see if the cup run has burst their bubble a little. If anything it is the best time to play them, so hopefully we can take advantage.
After thoroughly depressing drives home from places like Salford, Crewe and Stockport, yesterday's return trip had that extra spring it its step!
