I just wanted to put a message on here to apologise to all the supporters who have been very good in my brief spell at Sutton.
When I signed my job location had moved to Basingstoke and this meant that getting to training and matches etc was never going to be a problem and wasnt upto now, but, the location has changed again ( permanently this time) to Salisbury and this is meaning having to leave by 4pm just for training, much earlier again for matches and my company was getting a bit funny about it. I spoke to the gaffer on Wednesday and explained the situation and he said that work and family has to come first in life ( football is very close behind though) and he said the best course of action is to shake hands and leave now before the situation gets any worse...
The whole thing has happened very quickly and I am very dissapointed with how it has turned out because I was immensely proud to play for and captain Sutton United as it is a massive club and I wanted to be a big part of taking us back up the leagues.
I have played in this league and won the equivalent Southern league as well as made the play offs last year with Salisbury and Bashley respectively and this squad is more than good enough to be in with a good shout this season I have every confidence in it. You have got a top man for a manager and a good bunch of lads so I am sure the wins will come very soon, dont panic about 2 draws as we are just gelling together at the moment and we all know it should have been 2 wins, but they will come.
I will be looking out for the scores and hopefully come down for a promotion party at the end of the season!!!
Good luck guys, cheers
