Just read that our former matchday physio from the 80s (as well being physio for both Wimbledon and Tooting) passed away at the ripe old age of 96.

I remember Danny well, easy to talk to. By an odd coincidence my dad knew Danny before I was born and often used to go and watch Danny box. I discovered yesterday that Danny was caretaker manager at Wimbledon for the last few weeks of the 1974 season.

I knew Danny.I visited him several times for treatment on my knee, mostly at his house in Streatham Vale but also a couple of times at GGL.He used to treat a few of our Sunday team, the connection being Sutton United's Kenny Ireland who was our left back in those days.
RIP.He had a good innings.

I rememeber Danny being very good with me when I was a ball boy in the 80's. Always had a nice chat with him.
A couple of years ago I was walking to a Southampton game and met someone on their way to the ground who needed directions. He walked and talked with us. Discovered he was an old Wimbledon player who still new Danny and visited hime. I was delighted to hear at that time that Danny was still going and so I very sorry to read this news today.
