Listened to his commentary many times in the past, what a true legend and professional. I heard he was the commentator for the 1969 Amateur Cup Final (not sure of my facts though) and had a great fondness for Sutton United. I wished I had said hello to him after the Stevenage game although I did see him in the stand from afar.

Ah..yes someone has already mentioned his test broadcast at the 1969 Amateur Cup Final (not broadcast). There is an interesting video about Motty on the Newport County fans forum where he talks about Sutton United at the beginning of the video.

I saw an article on the BBC yesterday stating that he was watching the RB Leipzig v Man City Champions League game on Wednesday night with friends in a pub at Little Brickhill ( a village close to Milton Keynes...he said he lived that way when he was at the Stevenage game ), so his death is even more of a shock to me than it was !

That has got to be the worst subtitling I've ever seen... If it wasn't so sad that would be laughable.
