I'd never find it on my phone. Need a bit of plastic!! Definitely the same for me. Why should I have to pay more for something that gives me the same benefits?

Or simply open the PDF attachment, which should reveal a QR code. Print that off and away you go.
That said, I’ve not done mine yet, so that might not be the way forward.

Print and cut out your QR code in a credit card size, laminate it, put it in your wallet and stop grumbling

Print and cut out your QR code in a credit card size, laminate it, put it in your wallet and stop grumbling That is exactly what I do myself, as I prefer not to have a smart phone (I know... I have my reasons). However, expecting to be sent a small piece of plastic card in the post (or even to collect) does not seem a very big ask. Considering the expenditure.

Now read the web site and it explains that i have two weeks rather than one.

What is easy tech for some people, or even most people, isn't easy tech for others. And to assume that it is, or should be, is actually the opposite of smart. It's like online banking. Yes, it has great pluses as a system. But not everyone can access the system or 'gets' the system. Come to think of it; scanning a barcode from a plastic card isn't exactly low-tech. (Nor was the previous bank access system)

I know what a QR code is but have not got the foggiest how to laminate anything. Don't you need a laminating machine for that or does everybody have one ?
