I’ve got to be honest sadly. As much as I love the team, too dear for me now. Preferred the national league in lots of ways.

I’ve got to be honest sadly. As much as I love the team, too dear for me now. Preferred the national league in lots of ways. I think that there will be plenty that understand your position. Not everyone can afford the season ticket, regardless of what good value it is. Non-league football does has its charm, as 123 of Sutton’s 125 year history can attest to. As much as now playing with the ‘big boys’ is marvellous - I enjoy the larger, noisier crowds for example and the opposition team names from the Grandstand teleprinter of my youth - there is an undeniable loss of innocence and charm. Not all will agree, but I know where you are coming from Georgieboy. I too am not renewing. I returned to SUFC after several breaks back in 2016 as an antidote to the monster that the Premiership/Football League had become. I only watch Sutton at home and take in ‘lower league’ games when they are away. Next season I will pick and choose what home SUFC games to attend and spend more time supporting other local teams. I’m a football supporter, not necessarily affiliated to any particular club, although my fondness for Sutton goes back over 50 years.

Shame you won’t be renewing your season ticket, because gaining promotion to league two was the best thing to happen to the club. You only have to look at the club now and see how the club has changed. Long term supporters will know what I mean. So I think more regular supporters will renew their season tickets than not, because they can see where this club is going. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

We got our Sutton council tax bill today with a hefty increase. I believe the SES Water bill is imminent with an even bigger rise. I can understand people with responsibilities for paying those bills (and others) directing their money to places other than football.

It is irrelevant as to why the tickets are not being renewed. Price is a problem for some, and indeed the upward trajectory of the club will be another reason for a small number. They might not agree that promotion to League Two was the best thing to happen to the club - that will all depend on where that particular journey ends up. The club have, without doubt, gained by doing so, but with some minor losses that ‘long term supporters’ may well miss.

You can usually get it done at libraries etc This was a long time ago, but I spent 13 years working in public libraries (in LB Sutton) and I really don't recall us laminating anything for anyone. And at the risk of being the type of repetitious old stick-in-the-mud that I dislike other people being; I still don't think a plastic card is too much to ask for.

My point was really that it isn't hard to find somewhere that does it. Ryman do it in store while you wait, for instance. www.ryman.co.uk/services/laminateI'm not saying a plastic thing is a big ask, just that it's an easy problem to solve if for whatever reason you can't get one.

It's not quite the same as having an actual physical ticket though is it.

Bradford City allow fans to buy their tickets by a standing order. Perhaps it’s something Sutton United could consider?

Re standing order or installments, I posted this idea much earlier on in this thread. I’m sure a lot of fans would be interested.

What’s the latest number of ST’s we’ve sold for next season?

I understand at the moment people are really hard up due to so much going on. And I anticipate it getting quite a bit worse before it gets any better.
But you have to say, a standard season ticket means you get into each home game for under £7 a game. What at any level is a good price.
