Not having a go at anyone here -but I think that we've more or less reached the stage where we could record one of these and just play it back every week:-
'Pleased with a lot of things we did in last game - but lacked a bit of quality in the final third'
'They're all tough games in this league'
'Any away point is a good point'
'A number of injured players are back in training.
'We've picked up another injury - but I'm not telling you who'.
'Thanks for the great support'.

Sorry but I must agree to both posts. 1.Yes same old questions. Same old answers. 2.What Stewart suggests,is possibly a good idea. We do have course Matts questions and answer nights.Possibly have more?

Come to a pre-match lunch. Matt will answer any questions you may raise.

Perhaps his thoughts on climate change could be requested? If nothing much has changed and he quite rightly doesn't want to disclose the squad's more recent injury concerns then the reason they all appear to be similar is because they are and for obvious reasons. I expect if you are that mad to listen to the weekly PL managers' pre match press conferences they will all be similar too. Nature of the beast.

A suggestion for you davep - don’t listen to the interviews. It’s that simple.

It does make me laugh that what I thought most people would realise was a tongue in cheek comment about the cliches that football managers use in press conferences has clearly gone over the head of some.

When you start your post by saying “Not having a go at anyone” clearly means you have an issue with the interview and questions.
