I think next season could be pivotable, the board has to juggle with adding EFL requirements and keeping us in the EFL. Unlike Wrexham I don't think our government is going to give us £25 million for ground improvements.
I would like to hear from the board over the summer as to what their aspirations are? Even as a NL club I think we were always skint, but the money used to come from somewhere. The clubs majority directors/shareholders (all different from a decade ago) may have to reach into their pockets to keep the club in the EFL.
Money = anti gravity, without it gravity sucks you down and always wins in the end. With the likes of Wrexham joining and spending, Gillingham spending and so on it gets harder and more expensive to compete.

Regarding money as to the last post. It would not surprise me if the club comes to the supporters for extra money. ie. Another share purchase as in the past.or something along those lines. Yes it would be good if the club could find a backer or backers as per Wrexham!!

This seasons squad has done very well to achieve a mid-table finish without ever really flirting with the relegation zone, but a crucial summer beckons I feel.
4 members of the squad will head back to their parent clubs after the Carlisle game: Neufville (Luton) Ajiboye (Peterborough) Dennis (MK Dons) Dickinson (Wycombe)
With another 4 key members of the squad out of contract (I think). I’m sure Matt will already be plotting potential transfer targets for the summer - as mentioned numerous times surely adding more goals to our squad is an absolutely priority. Defensively I think we’re generally sound. Barden returning and Kasimu will be like ‘new’ signings in pre-season.

These all seem to be assuming that we have a choice and keep all the ones we want. I really wouldn't be surprised if we lose 2 or 3 going up a level.

Would appear few, if any of you, read Matt's piece in the FLP yesterday. In it he is quoted in saying, "Why would we need to make drastic changes?" while later saying "However, I am not looking to stand still and the club isn't either".
I think I will see how it all pans out rather than joining in this debate.

Bruce appointed Chairman in 1996, Dave F - on the management committee for 34 years and on the Board for 23 years before recently taking a step back. Two managers since 2008 - and when Dos decided he needed to pass on the baton, he identified his own successor (as he also did recently at Havant). And what can you say about Clive? Isthmian League to EFL2 under the stewardship of Dos and Matt. Generally accepted that a key factor in our National League triumph a few years ago was that we kept a similar squad of players from the previous season.
