Now that Pete Feenstra has stopped being involved I can't find anything about it.
My usual link has stopped working and I can't see anything on the club website. Googling comes up with nothing.
Has the club closed permanently?

No. Still very active I’d guess the handover of the website just has a hitch

Thanks. Got in. Does it all have to go through a ticket agency now?

Thanks. Got in. Does it all have to go through a ticket agency now? No. Just email brucey_baby@hotmail.co.uk, turn up on the night and pay in cash. Actually, you usually don't need to book in advance, ie send an email, but if you do it's slightly cheaper and you're guaranteed entry. I'm nothing to do with the Boom Boom by the way - just the name I chose when I joined this board.

Does anyone know what the situation is with the Boom Boom Club? I heard that Bruce Akroyd, the organiser, has stepped down due to ill-health and the next advertised event isn't until March: www.ents24.com/sutton-events/the-boom-boom-clubI really hope this isn't its demise as I've enjoyed many evenings there with some excellent acts.

Very sadly Bruce Ackroyd passed away last week. I will try to find out what’s happening with the gigs that were scheduled.

RIP The intention is very much that this will continue. Obviously there are a number of pragmatic and logistical issues to resolve but these are being worked on.

Next week’s Imagine The Beatles has been postponed but a new date is being explored. There will definitely be events in February but keep an eye on websites and social media.

I heard from Pete today and I'm sure he won't mind me quoting him regarding the club:Just a quick note to say that after the untimely death of the legendary Bruce Ackroyd* THE BOOM BOOM CLUB WILL CARRY ON under the stewardship of Don McKay (whose Rhino agency helped bring some great bands to the club down the years), along with his partner Tracey, & his friend Dave Hayden. Eric Harvey who many of you will know, might also be involved.

Terrible news. I don't know if I ever met Bruce because most of my visits were when Pete Feenstra was running things.
RIP Bruce.
