I thought it was a perfomance typical of the season as a whole, we controlled the game, should have scored more and conceeded to our one defensive error of the day. Our main problem is lack of cover for the first 11 and lack of clinical finishing. Possibly. But to only make one defensive error (if that's all we did) is pretty good going. We do not (as has been mentioned elsewhere by both myself and others) really have the budget for strength in depth. Although I think the season has proved beyond doubt that we have more than just a 'first 11'. And very few strikers in D2 are actually noted for their high degree of clinical finishing. And that is why we finished midtable, a very fair reflection on our season overall. The league will be tougher next season so we need to strenghen just to stay where we are. My view about the budget is that the board got us here, so the board has to find the money to keep us here or they lose their investment

One thing that annoyed me yesterday, was the amount of fans that left bang on full time (or a bit before) and didn’t stay for the lap of honour. I would say well over half of our fans didn’t stay. Not good. Some people have got a life outside football. Also maybe a train to catch.

I'll tell you what, it probably annoyed me even more that I wasn't able to stay for it as I really wanted to see it. But my daughters wanted to go to the after party, and there was absolutely no chance of getting seats unless you left immediately. Without seats my children would not have been able to eat their dinner or would've had immense difficulty doing so. If that makes me a bad supporter then I'm sorry...
