Saturday sees us entertain Reading in our first home friendly of the schedule. Reading recently relegated from the Championship have today just come out of transfer embargoes amid owner problems so can now sign players - they are of course where Dean Bouzanis plys his trade having left us last summer.
It seems no injuries were picked up after Tuesdays win at Havant which is a positive, hopefully the absentees from the other night can make the squad for Saturday particularly new striker Harry Smith.

I hope to see Louis John get some game time, be good to know he has recovered from the long layoff he ended last season with. Reading themselves may have trialists as their transfer window has been lifted. On another note does anyone know whether the fan zones and bars will be open?

As I said on the Havant thread I think that the wind will unfortunately play a great part in the game so let’s hope it’s not abandoned🤷🏼♂️

Fan zone is not open until 5 August but I'm sure the bars will be open and look forward to your custom.

Sounds like a good result to day! Yes it only two friendlies so far, but looks like we have more attacking threat and one or two of the trialists are doing pretty well to. A tough game Tuesday, through the result does not matter, and as Matt said in the interview we are still looking for a few more. UP THE U’S ⚽️⚽️⚽️

I am actually wrong, the trialists have 4 out of the 5 goals, ok not the same trialists, trialist C has 2, so maybe we just sign them up

Perhaps the club shop should start selling replica shirts with 'Trialist C' printed on the back?

I'd love it if his name did actually turn out to be Colin Triallist!

According to flashscores, we used 6 trialists yesterday. Reading used 7. With the windy conditions, it was never going to be a game of that much quality and really only a couple of minutes of brilliance split the teams. In the first half (albeit against the wind) I thought Reading dominated.
Before he went off injured I was very impressed with Sowunmi. He's already looking a better player than Coby Rowe
