The fine itself is already excessive and the warning given over the tannoy should have been considered sufficient punishment.

And will their supporters care? Maybe a points deduction would be more appropriate. If I remember correctly, there were individual consequences for the supporters in question. Financial consequences for the club are to push them to clamp down harder on their fans' inappropriate behaviour. |
