Rome was not built in a day, but that was a much better performance particularly from the defence. Good to see Hart playing as a proper left back, and great to see Sowunmi showing why he should be in the side. Fantastic to see Eastie back and that bonus of Pereira, looks like our potential Messi.
And the scoreboard is working, good work Tim.

Still a very soft goal to concede. No one near their player on the edge of the box and Deano seemed out of position as he was nowhere near it.

Certainly an improved performance today, particularly in defence. Matt made the tough decision to drop Ben Goodliffe to the bench, but Ben hadn't been playing to his usual high standard lately, and the call was justified when his replacement Omar Sowunmi headed us in front from a corner. I'm not convinced we could have done much to avert their equaliser.
The returning Craig Eastmond made a difference when he came on in the second half, and he came close to scoring a winner.
Our run of defeats is now over, and the point today may have felt almost like three, but we do actually need to start winning some games very soon.

Not seen the replay but did not see a deflection in real time. Neither did I, but on second look it looks like he aimed for the far right post and it either deflected off of one of our lads or their forward, and went into the left side.

Much better defence today. When A MK Don tried from inside his own half to lob Deano, the away fans chanted 'We've had a shot!' Fair comment because other than that, they hadn't. Going forward U's hit far too many balls long and in the air again, until Eastmond came on. Then we got some incisive passing on the deck. Like others I was baffled by their goal - the scorer did not seem to be aiming where the shot went.

Not seen the replay but did not see a deflection in real time. Looking again on a bigger screan, now I am in the balance. Either way Deano was blind sighted to the shot... I think it does take a deflection off of Sowunmi?

We are only three points of the teams immediately above us, so still a long way to go, but do need too build on yesterday’s result.⚽️⚽️

Watched the match today. Seemed a solid enough performance. We made MK look as ordinary as Newport, Barrow and Accrington did for long spells, just without the inexplicable period where we concede a batch of goals. Hard to put the finger on why we conceded these - lack of leadership? Bit of chasing things too quickly and panicking - combined with results not happening and making us a little too desperate? Who knows. But cut out the silly spells and we’ll be a match for most. I think there’s enough going forward to get the goals. Think Coley has certainly got something but he probably needs something to get him properly up and running. Pereira looks like he’s got a special skillset - let’s hope he can be productive with it.
Don’t think anyone on here is underestimating the impact that Easty will have being back amongst it. I’d probably keep him on the bench Tuesday with a view to starting next Saturday personally. We really need a decent spell of fitness from our captain.

I think it does take a deflection off of Sowunmi? That was certainly my first thought when I saw their goal. Deano blind sighted. I think any club in this division would concede faced with the same shot in that circumstance.
