Always like reading these neutral takes on SUFC, often for the inaccuracies.
I didn't read all the history guff but noticed one particular error. The club's first season in the Conference was 1986/87 and our cup run that year was far removed from the 87/8 one. Your list of noable players leaves out, among many others, Efan Ekoku, Paul Rogers and Andy Scott all of whom played in the top flight of English football. As I say the illuminati extends a fair way beyond your list.
As for getting criticism on Twitter, if you're gonna dish it out expect to get it back. We are all aware of GGL's shortcomings but it is an ongoing project and will be for some while.
As for the giraffe not being real, what did you expect? If you wanted that, Chessington World of Adventures would have been your better bet, assuming it hasn't closed for the winter yet.
A good effort.

I think you’ve misunderstood what I said about the giraffe. I went on the Facebook group, and asked for someone to interview, to which someone replied ‘Jenny The Giraffe.’ I replied ‘I don’t think I’d get much of an interview out of a giraffe’- obviously as a joke. The guy then went ballistic at me. Even one of your fellow supporters had to tell him to calm down as he didn’t realise I was joking lol

I suppose it is to be expected when newer fans are interviewed, I suggest that anyone with knowledge of the club's history might suggest the most illustrious team to visit GGL to have been Leeds United of the 1970s their full first 11 under Don Revie, packed with internationals names such as Jack Charlton Norman Hunter Alan Clarke, Peter Lorimor, Eddie Gray to name a few would knock the Arsenal team off this perch. Even the full Chelsea side who won the FA cup in 1970 and played here in a friendly before the start of the following season could be favourably compared to the line up of Arsenal team of 2017.

Obviously lots of the club info has been taken from some other source. Maybe it's just the players from recent times because as well as those mentioned by Mark there are others like Charlie Vaughan.
Also strange to get an interview with someone who hardly ever gets to see us play. It's a long way from Norway.

Without wanting to sound defensive, I thought it would offer an interesting perspective. Obviously it didn’t have the desired effect

An enjoyable read, thanks.
I think getting a supporter from Norway for the (short) interview offered a refreshing, different perspective - for all I know they watch the full matches online - and you did say in the blog it was a "joke" about Jenny.
Regarding the views from the terraces, I agree they leave something to be desired but at least the ground isn't all-seater so provides the (cheaper) option to stand for those who wish to and nowhere is a long way from the action.

Thanks for the fair assessment. Unlike the guy on Facebook who said I needed a carer cause I had an opinion that he disagreed with. I always say those who insult people during a debate don’t have the mental capacity to carry on the debate.

I guess that’s the joy of interviews. They’re all subjective. There’s no right or wrong answers
