You could see the difference between National and EFL though through the manner of their play, shirt pulling and dangerous foot action as shown by the number of fouls.

Thought we were very poor first half. Kizzi beaten numerous times with a diagnol ball over the top. Milsom beaten all ends up all afternoon.
We lacked balance first half with Beautyman on the left and had much better balance second half with Patrick on. We played quicker ball as well. Hope N'guessan is OK.

It was good to see a printed programme again today. But that did include a Mark Frake piece on embarrassing FA Cup exits of the past. Was that tempting fate? At half-time it seemed so, as, despite having the better of the chances, we trailed 1-0 to (surprise, surprise!) a goal on the break.
Bringing on Omari Patrick at half-time (with Harry B shifting to central mid, and N'Guessan going off) put us back on the front foot. Harry Smith headed one Coley cross over before he stooped to head the equaliser from the same source. At that stage we were dominant. Smith scored a second five minutes later, and we should really have had more. Instead we lost a bit of momentum, and Fylde threatened again on the break. Thankfully we saw the game out to secure a place in the second round.
It was pleasing to see Dominic Gape get some game time late on. More importantly, the £41k for easing through to the 2nd round should be very helpful to the club.

History is history AA. Can't change it. And ignoring the bad bits isn't right, so...
Think yourself fortunate. I left out that Burgess Hill debacle and I should confess, not by design.

Why is it that the only game with goals in it not posted on the BBC website is ours. Will there be any highlights/extended highlights on our website ? - and if not why not?

Not the greatest first half yesterday, but I've seen worse. Such a shame that we gave away a goal that we've done so many times this season (lose the ball cheaply and get caught on the counter), but thanks to Harry Smith (who is pretty clearly the strongest of our signings this season) and some old fashioned resillience we've come to know from Matt Gray sides in the past, we're in the hat. The last 5 mins felt a little bit "Billericay" if you know what I mean, but we held out.
41k in the bank (which I think we can all agree is needed) and in the hat for the draw this afternoon.
From our division, still in are Walsall, Barrow, Gillingham, Newport, Harrogate, Salford, Morecambe, Doncaster, Accrington, FGR, Notts County, Stockport, AFC Wimbledon, Wrexham, Grimsby and Crewe. I believe out of the remaining non-league sides left in, only Cray Valley PM and Alfreton Town we've never played before (if you take Scarborough Athletic as a continuation of the old Conference champions Scarborough FC). From L1, we have virtually no history with Barnsley, Bolton, Burton Albion, Shrewsbury, Blackpool, Derby and Fleetwood.
We'll get what we'll get, but to be honest, I'd want a home draw. We've struggled too many times away and could do without the additional expense.

"Billericay". Ha ! Exactly what I was thinking when they were launching the ball forward.
