Nuneaton Borough FC moves 'last' game to Stratford Town www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-67378478Troubled Nuneaton Borough FC is to use Stratford Town's pitch to play its weekend fixture with officials fearing it could be the club's last ever game. The club was issued with an eviction notice last month after bosses said it had been behind in rent payments since 2019.

That’s sad news. Fond memories of (and I stand to be corrected!….) our first away game in the GMVC. Think supporters coach broke down too I seem to remember?? (Or did I make that up as well??!) Main stand with a curved “Anderson shelter” type roof?

Don't think they are at that ground. The original Nuneaton Borough went tits up and they reformed as Nuneaton Town and eventually moved to a new ground.

Sadly it isn't the first (or even second) time they have gone bust.
Some clubs just seem to lurch from one financial disaster to another and don't learn from their mistakes.

When I first saw the heading I thought not another club dying and why in the middle of the season but if they hadn't paid any rent since 2019 then they deserve all they get. Again though why weren't they wound up pre-season?

Bit harsh without knowing why they hadn't been able to pay the rent, but yeah, clubs need to start learning lessons about living within their means

Again though why weren't they wound up pre-season? Where does it say that they haven't paid any rent since 2019? They have paid it but have been in arrears and obviously covid didn't help matters like most non league clubs.thibk it also goes further as from what I've heard the landlords hadn't batted an eyelid about them being in arrears and suddenly shut them out. I live about 15 minutes from the ground and go occasionally. Definitely not the one that we played at previously. Its also not the first time they've had issues with the rugby club whom they share with previously as well.

Absolutely ridiculous the useless information one retains with instant recall compared to allegedly, I’m told, “more important “ things?!….

I can clearly recall Trevor Bladon scoring direct from a corner at 'The Spotted Dog', but can't remember which of my grandchildren is which. (Sometimes kids, only sometimes)
