If anyone has spare time tomorrow morning, the groundstaff would welcome any volunteers with gloves to help remove the frost covers from the pitch at 9am. Thanks very much in advance to anyone who can help.

If my memory serves me well, I believe we've never been knocked out of the 2nd round of the FA Cup by a team lower than us. The last team that did were Bristol Rovers (same league), time before was Notts County (2 or 3 divisions higher), Hereford in 95 (2 divisions higher) and the time before that was Swindon in 81 (3 or so divisions higher). I think that's the only 4 occasions we've gone out in the 2nd round.
All of the other times we've beaten teams either at the same level or above - Barnet and Aylesbury were at our level when we won those game in 69 and 88 respectively, Peterborough, Torquay and Cheltenham were above us in 87, 93 and 16 respectively.
Funny to think that in 125 years, we've only previously got to the 3rd round 5 previous times. Let's make it 6 today!

Iโve got to say that if we lose against Horsham will do not deserve to be in the FA Cup . I know this sounds disrespectful of Horsham and I do not mean to be but as an EFL club we must win โฆโฆ and I believe that we will . Win tomorrow and the following Saturday and our awful season will feel suddenly start to feel a whole lot better . My prediction is SUFC 3 Horsham 0 . Ban me from the ground if I have jinxed the lads ! I thank you and good night !! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

๐๐๐๐๐ well done lads: once we broke them down there was only going to be one winner with Pierra for me man of match, but Harry B also had a good game . Could Pierra be the difference for us staying up letโs hope so.

Pereira took both goals really well, but Omari Patrick somehow needs to be playing every week. He had a major part in the second goal and he was always going to score the third.
Although it took over an hour to get the breakthrough I never thought a Sutton win was ever really in doubt. Horsham barely threatened what was a very makeshift defence after Sowunmi went off early, with Kizzi the only remaining recognised defender. Well done the likes of NโGuessan, Fadahunsi and Coley for decent shows out of position.
That win could be massive for SU.

A somewhat sluggish start from us but we gradually got into the game and at HT I thought Horsham were there for the taking. So it proved as we went on to to complete what was ultimately a convincing win, underlining a gulf in class, even with a makeshift team Plus a clean sheet as a bonus: when was the last time that happened? Goodness knows how Barnsley failed to beat Horsham at Oakwell. Bringing on the 3 subs in added time was curious - looking forward to finding out the reason.

What about another two injuries to defenders. Hopefully not too serious.

Just watched the highlights (and for once they really were highlights). Those three goals were absolute quality!!! Good luck to Horsham for the rest of the season.

Just seen Patrickโs goal very well taken, so if he cannot get into the starting line up, use him as an impact sub. โฝ๏ธโฝ๏ธโฝ๏ธ

Professional job done, and in reality more of a dominant performance than the scoreline suggests.
Horsham only looked like they would score via a set piece, and even when given opportunities they showed why they're a Isthmian League side.
Now we're in the hat for the 3rd round. We all have our ideas of what would be the perfect draw. For me it would be an away day at a huge club and get the appropriate TV money and gate receipts that will help us immensely. Of course I'd love to get an "easy" draw and get to the 4th round, but with the way our squad is at the moment and the potential fixture pile up (we're already playing Notts C midweek thanks to our win and if we make it to the 4th round we'd have to play Walsall away midweek too) I wouldn't be too upset if we cashed in at the 3rd round stage and concentrated on our league status.
The worst draw would be away to a L2 side. Certain not to be a TV game, likely to be a poorish crowd and we'd probably lose. Probably the worst pick would be away to Morecambe.
We're ball 63 in the draw tomorrow, which takes place from around 1pm

Good performance. Was getting worried with the missed chances but thankfully we got the job done with plenty to spare. Might sound churlish but I expected far more from Horsham - thought theyโd have some players to trouble us given their prior success but couldnโt lay a glove on possibly one of the most makeshift backlines weโve put out in our history. I guess credit to us as well on that front for controlling the game. Thought NโGuessan acquitted himself very well in the centre of defence but under very little pressure. Hope Pereira can kick on from that, a couple of good finishes and a nice reminder of the ability Omari Patrick has.
Their fans were good and generally stuck it out to give the team a send off. Refreshing lack of the inane chants too. Guess a nice bonus big occasion for them.
Bring on Man U away.

We're ball 63 in the draw tomorrow, which takes place from around 1pm I reckon there's a better chance of being on TV if drawn at home rather than away against a big club. There's likely to be a poor crowd if drawn away against most L1 sides and a handful of Championship ones too. A L2 side away gives us a better chance to progress, maybe after a replay. Away to a big London PL club would be my choice. Big crowd guaranteed and much shorter journey than 200+ mile trek to eg Man Utd.

As others have said it took a while for us to get going today, Horsham didn't really threaten our make shift back 4 too much, but it has to be said those seconded did a fine job.
HarryB was superb today, but MOTM has to go to Dion Pereira, took his 2 goals well and looks the potential magic man we have been looking for.
The FA Cup is nice, and like everyone I am hoping for a good draw, but looking further ahead I think today we may have found our EFL saviour?

I thought Tope was outstanding at left back. Perhaps weโre on our way to the Sutton version of the marvellous Magyars, a team with no defenders.
