Also Bruce has asked me to mention that the pre-match lunch that was scheduled is still available for anyone who wants to have lunch at the club today, whether they have booked or not. 12.30pm in the MBA Lounge

The match postponement may be a blessing in disguise, given the length of our injury list. There's now an extra week's recovery time before the next game.

True if we had no players back fit today, otherwise also benefits them who were thin with injuries. I thought our pitch cover would prevent waterlogged pitch.

Fortunately, FGR’s game at home to Wrexham has also been called off, otherwise we may have found ourselves four points adrift by the end of the day.

The EFL are so backward, why oh why don't they just allow 3G pitches?
All matches would go ahead, including women's, Palace, higher revenues and better playing conditions during the winter months !
Although losing today's game isn't a bad thing for us.

Disappointed for the club and for the supporters but personally I’m OK with the decision as it will mean I can get to the game now. I’ve barely missed a home game since SU got promoted to L2 but, bizarrely, today would have been the third successive home game I’d have missed against Harrogate Town. Just the way things had worked out.
I’m at Town v Bristol City this afternoon. It’s sodden up here but I still expect the pitch to be perfect.

There were still a few fans turning up just before 3 not knowing the game was off. It seems there are still plenty of fans who don’t use social media. .

I don't feel I want to walk round the Borough on the off chance.

Well that was disappointing. Luckily we were overnighting with friends Friday and Saturday night. Pre 'match' meal was nice though, and of course the bar was open. A bit more time for players to recuperate which can only be good.

Bad luck that GGL is waterlogged, yet a couple of miles away, SCRs ground at Whyteleafe is fine.

That would be the 3G pitch at Whyteleafe.

League table looks desperate after terrific wins for Tranmere and Grimsby who are both disappearing over the horizon as far as we are concerned.
Colchester lost and we’ll have to set our long range sights on them.
