Thought the ball to Kizzi was fine, he just failed to control it. Not that you’d blame him for the goal based on that. These things happen, you deal with the throw and it’s forgotten. Dean’s kicking was generally awful again though.

Curate's egg of a performance, understandable given that it was the new manager's first game in charge.
SM set us up as 4-3-3, with Patrick wide on the right and Jackson at left back, opposite to their usual flanks. I thought both had decent games, but O'Brien looked wasted wide left and Angol was too isolated at CF. He did have good support from MotM Harry B who scored both our goals, the first a great finish against the run of play, the second a touch scrappy. Their equaliser was much more scrappy.
At 2-2, both sides had spells of pressure without finding a winner. A draw wasn't an unfair result. We pocket the point having now played both our games against the 4th-placed club. Next weekend we get our second game against the 3rd-placed club out of the way. After that, we need to be looking for some wins.

I think the biggest compliment you give today is that we didn't look like a side at the foot of the table and gave Barrow as good if not more than they gave.
Its good to see us with a midfield again, it makes such a difference, Eastie back for 45mins and the new lad looking like a real find came on and slotted in nicely. What that did was allow HarryB to get forward something we have not seen for ages, and it caused Barrow problems. There were a lot of 7/10 performances out there, and if we can take that on the road, I don't see why we can't bring some points back.

Good start for Steve. Clearly he wants us to try and control the ball more and have more position. We had 56% possession against current title chacers, something that is certainly quite new.
First half we looked nervous and slow, but they were not great either as while we did not crate much, we limited them possession. Its a shame we still gifted them quite an easy goal with some poor defending which was bit of the usual. This got their tails up and brought them into the game, but then as the first half came to a close we also nicked a goal and got going a bit.
Second half we pressed more and woke up, I thought Lakin added some much needed pace in the centre and looks like a good recruitment. We matched one of the leagues inform teams, A deserved point, and we could have nicked 3. Another poor ref who decisions proved costly as well. Another weeks work and can we dare to go to Mansfield with a bit of belief?
