As a member I was wondering whom I should ask who might know whether any matches remain this season where members have the pleasure of having first access to the managers post match analysis in the lounge. Secondly has the promised visit to the training ground taken place or is it still to be arranged? I do not recall any invitations being electronically sent.
Finally on promised exclusive light lunch food offering what time is it generally served? I was in the lounge from 1 15 to 2 25 pm before the Doncaster match but could not find anything resembling a light lunch on offer,

www.suttonunited.net/news/2023/august/1898-membership-now-available/In answer to your first question I am able to confirm the answer is "none". It wasn't offered this season. Last season, when it was, the pre match interviews were abused by members who preferred to talk through it rather than respect the interviewer and the players. It was decided to stop both elements. In answer to the second, again there was no promise of a training ground visit. It was however an enjoyable and appreciated offer last season so we hope to repeat it. On to your final question and this too isn't part if the package this season, and when offered to members last season was taken up by less than 5% of members with more complaining about the room space allocated to it than those participating in it. It too was agreed to be removed from the package. Might I suggest that if you, or anyone else, wants to ask questions about 1898 membership (or indeed complain about it as this is in truth what is happening here) then sending an email to the club email address 1898@suttonunited.net is a more efficient means of achieving that, rather than post on an infrequently visited corner of the internet. It does however slightly reduce the visibility of that question or complaint. The continuance of the 1898 club is in doubt for next season. The majority of the benefits of membership occurs on matchday where the lounge continues to be overcrowded and the balance of members unhappy about the overcrowding offsets the number of members who continue to bring "guests" without prior notice. An announcement will be made in due course, with members able to offer their feedback in the meantime.

I’ve always found the security on the door very effective and when bringing a last minute guest without prior notice they have been denied entry. Yes the room is very busy on occasions but I cannot understand how people get past the entrance.
