Maybe the person you describe in question won't use offensive language from now on though. I think capital punishment would be the only way to be certain.. But meanwhile, in other affairs, 20 flairs and 20 club fines later... I think it's OK to tackle one issue while having your hands tied over another potentially more serious one.

They should just ban all unaccompanied children under 18. All children should have to have a parent or guardian with them now. That would stop the yoof thinking that they are ultras.

I was about 8 years old when i first went to Sutton and yes i was unaccompanied apart from my 8 year old friend. I doubt very much i would have been following Sutton for the last 66 years if hadn't been allowed in then. To suggest that anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian with them doesn't understand football loyalty.

Different time now compared to when you were all young. You would not of dreamed of bringing in flares or causing trouble I doubt.
The youth now go out to games with the intention of creating trouble . Of course not all of them. But the well behaved ones are getting few and far between.

Maybe you should have called the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of The Pyrotechnic?
I'm not saying that every child should be accompanied to a game, I thought they had to be with an adult if aged 12 or under. But I could be wrong.
My dad used to go and watch Chelsea when he was a kid, and that was when he was only 8, but as you say that is a bygone age. I guess it just is the way the world is now. Which is a massive shame.
For the record, though, I would definitely let my son go to a game on his own even though he is under 18 because I know the people who watch Sutton are generally decent football fans, but more importantly are decent people.

The youth now go out to games with the intention of creating trouble . Of course not all of them. But the well behaved ones are getting few and far between. An 18-year-old is legally an adult, so they could bring in their 15-year-old sibling/friend and get them to conceal the goods. Teenagers don't suddenly stop wanting to make trouble the day they turn 18. Your proposal wouldn't stop this from happening. It would only hurt those who haven't caused any trouble, and the club too. Almost all the young people who attend without adults cause no trouble at all. On any match day there could be a couple of hundred of them in the ground, yet it only takes one person to bring in a flare. It would be far better to have a dedicated trained steward watching that group, who could apprehend and eject perpetrators as soon as any prohibited items appear. Identification of those people would then make bans possible. Maybe not practical, but nor is discriminating against an entire demographic because of the behaviour of one or two of its members.
