In National South Truro City have to play their last 13 games in the space of 28 days.
But this is not unique ! In 1986, chasing the Isthmian League title, the U's played their last eleven league games in just 26 days. Also going strong in the cups, we had to squeeze in the Surrey Senior Cup Final and the 1/4, semi and final of the AC Delco Cup; making a total of fifteen games in 36 days, 14 in 33 if we omit the SSC Final.
Total Record Played Won Drawn Lost League 11 9 0 2 Cups 4 4 0 0
One of those defeats came in front of more than 5,000 spectators away to challengers Yeovil Town but the U's still pipped the Somerset side to the title. The other defeat was away to Croydon, but the very next night the team bounced back to record a vital win away to Walthamstow Avenue.
A strange quirk of this sequence of games is that (I think) six of those venues are no longer used by those clubs.

Such a memorable season. Including a Tuesday night trip to Yeovil (where they thought they had won the league!) The “glamour” of playing a game that far away (!) in front of 5,000 on a Tuesday night. I remembering it feeling like Champions League!. Our customary performance (or so it always seemed to me) at the soulless Arena followed the very next night by 90 excruciating (felt Like a day!) minutes at Green Pond Lane which did a very passable impression of the Sahara just without the camels!
Other games that season blur somewhat (even though I said it was memorable !🥴) . why those two against Croydon and Walthamstow Avenue remain in my memory goodness Knows!
Ahhhh Happy days.

Maybe because they were on consecutive nights and after losing at Croydon the pressure was on and the pitch at Green Pond Road made the match a lottery. I think Alan Hunter would have been in their team and he always seemed to do well against us.

Wasn’t there also quite a pile-up of games towards the end of the 92/93 season when we went very deep into the Trophy. I’ll have to dig out programmes but seem to remember a crazy amount of games through March and April of that season.

Between 2 March (Surrey Senior Cup v Met Police) and 1 May (last league game of the season at St Albans) we played 25 games that season, including two instances of playing on consecutive nights, although in one of those instances we played a reserve side in the Surrey Senior Cup on a Tuesday, between both legs of a League Cup semi final against Marlow on the Monday and Thursday. We played at least once every midweek from 2 February.
What was slightly bizarre was that our last six league games were all away - our final home game against Carshalton was on Monday 19 April and by 1 May we had subsequently played away to Wokingham, Bromley(at Dulwich), Enfield, Dulwich, Harrow and St Albans.
Widening the conversation a bit, I seem to recall that when Leatherhead reached the FA Trophy final in 1978 their congestion was such that they had to register the entire Banstead Athletic team on dual registration so they could play two games on the same night, and while our result for that season officially reads Sutton 3 Leatherhead 0 I think it was actually Sutton 3 Banstead 0.

Good recall about Leatherhead, I’d forgotten but you are correct about them using Banstead players.

In the 1935/36 season, Sutton went from the Amateur Cup 1st qual round to the 4th round playing ten matches in the process. That was ten Saturdays out of the season. As a result in the month of April they played 15 matches.
In the week commencing Monday, 27th April they played every evening up to and inc the Thursday. Results 0-5,1-1,0-3 and 0-8.
