Potentially good news if the supporters' trust can take over the club, but there's going to be a period of uncertainty in the short term.
To be frank I'm not going to shed any tears over Claremont Road, one of my least favourite grounds. The lack of investment over the years meant that it had become very shabby.

Ah, but for us who remember Hendon from way back it is. I hate to see old grounds become housing estates or whatever and while Claremont Road was hardly the most inviting of arenas it has served Hendon well & seem some fine players and great matches in the past.
A real shame.

Totally agree with Frakey- yet another of the classic non league grounds bites the dust. A great pity and a metaphor for the modern asset-striping religion. And I hear that Hayes are going to leave Church Lane so that will be another housing estate no doubt. That only leaves the wondeful covered terrace at fortress Colston

Whilst like AA says, it has become very shabby over the last few years, there's some good memories of Claremont. My favourite being Cossies first senior goal one cold Tuesday evening.
Sad to see the old place go.

First away ground I went to back in 1975 I think, it always reminded me of the Bobbins place!

You're a hard man AA. I will miss Claremont Road.
It has made me think of one of my favorite away grounds. Hitchin is one I always enjoy visiting. With its novel wooden terrace and its marvelous old tea hut that has served the club for over fifty years, superb!

Not so much hard as unsentimental. I still think the place is a dump, and I'm glad I won't need to go there ever again.
