We scored four great goals, in front of some fantastic support. The Duke had his best 45 minutes in a Sutton shirt and Tope made a really good cameo contribution.

Yes the best performance from Duke since he joined. Such a transformation in the second half.

A shame to ruin a matchday thread with thoughts and questions for the board. Maybe start another thread - seems like to many its an important topic. However - as I have said many times - my door is always open, and I doubt you can find a more approachable and accessible set of Directors in the EFL or NL. Even on matchdays, though that opportunity may be some weeks off now, I and others are available to listen to concerns, and provide where we can feedback. Its surprising how few of those with concerns take that opportunity. If it matters so much come and chat. Come to the supporters' forums etc. Alternatively, tap the keyboard here anonymously to a limited audience. Its not obvious that's the most efficient way to raise any concerns or get the answers you crave though. 800 "ordinary" fans supported the team in voice and actions for over 90 minutes yesterday, and I was among them. I do think having a pop at the board on an "Anonymous" forum is a bit disingenuous especially when speculating and not being fully abreast of the facts. However, there is a need in my opinion for a conduit where questions can be asked ( and answers given). We can't all get to a fans forum and the last two haven't been reported on. The questions fans want answered in the closed season are different from those that are likely to be asked mid season when the next forum takes place.

Hi Toothman AS Tim has said, "His Door" is always open and you could always PM him on here, or email him at the Club if you have concerns / questions that you may have. Unfortunately, I would think that some of them "couldn't / wouldn't" be answered on a Public Forum as they contain "sensitive information" which we wouldn't want to share with the whole wide world ....I don't get to any of the fans forum's because I don't live in the area, but will always get hear of important info by asking Tim what came up that can be "shared", as there were always thigs mentioned at them that "stay in the room "

Bitter sweet day for me as a lifelong Sutton united supporter . My following comments will not please everyone but do you know what I don’t give a shite but I do hope some board members read it , although I doubt it . First of all the sweet bit . I never thought I would be the proud supporter of an EFL club when I lost my sporting heart to Sutton United many many years ago . I thank Matt and all the players under him for making this possible and I also thank Steve and our current group of players for trying to salvage a sinking ship against all of the odds . Now for the bitter part . I for one firmly blame the board for our relegation . I am not talking about under investment , they were starting from day one in the EFL with a massive financial handicap trying to get the stadium up to League standard and being forced to rip up a perfectly good revenue earning pitch to comply with the morons that make up the ridiculous rules . Money spent on these projects instead of supporting Matt and the playing staff . That said our first season in League Two was a real blast and for that I again thank Matt and the players . No , my real issue with the board and the reason that I feel we are down was their inability to make an easy decision out of a false sense of loyalty to Matt . For me he should have gone by October given the results and performances towards the end of last season and the beginning of this . Almost all clubs would have said thank you but goodbye , but our board bottled it . Unforgivable if my opinion , not that they will give a shite about how or what I feel . So what next ? My hope is that we do not fall straight through the National League next season like I currently fear . After all , most of our current squad will disappear during the summer , I hope that Steve does not follow them out of the door . It will be a summer of turmoil and decisions for the board to make . Will we keep our current training facilities , will the squad be full or part time etc ? I hope that they make the correct decisions this time for the good of the club and try to rectify their inaction this season that in my view has let us all down so badly . Rant all finished now . I have to agree on both points, the team have given their all, and Steve Morrison very nearly pulled off a miracle. On the second point again I have to agree our EFL exile is entirely down to poor decisions from the board. The failure to replace Matt earlier is a difficult one as it was he who made EFL a reality, and lets not forget took the club to Wembley in a full size cup competition. The failures for me are those decisions not seen above the waterline by the majority. The recruitment off the pitch has been extremely poor often costing the club more than they made for it. The use of consultants and project engineers has been expensive. Media / Social media has suffered poor management, turning what was once known to be one of the best around to one which is unable to film a match on its own. One person on twitter quoted the club's posts as 'gas lighting'. Most of the big jobs are not advertised on the clubs website, but hidden on some obscure recruitment site, where the journeymen preside. I hear fans say but we have some nice infrastructure now, which is of course true, but the club now has 20 years to pay for it, a huge debt that will burden the club going forward, unless those new investors wish to pay it off of course, is it £3 million now or more? For me its all eyes on the board and its plan for the future, if SM is given a good budget then I am sure he can build a decent side. This board however needs to return to its pre EFL ethics, when a quid could be stretched to make 5 and not the other way around. 2 more things, not a single pixel has been added to LED advertising since we put that screen in, given that its cheap as chips now and can be put together by a child, that is abysmal. Also how much money can you throw at a CCTV system and still not get it right, fibre under the pitch day one would have solved all the problems at a fraction of the cost. The best thing to happen to the club was playing in the football league, it meant that the Infrastructure of the club could be sorted out, yes there’s more to do. Also you mention about the finances, it was always going to cost a fair bit of money to do the work which I’m sure the board were aware of. Also you mention about us having a project manager, why should club not get that person in who has experience in that roll to help the club so I’m afraid your living in a bygone age, when things were different. The club had to change and for the better Bruce new that so moved the club forward.⚽️

Crawley supporter here. Sorry that you went down. Here's hoping you have a speedy return. We have MK in the play-offs and you sticking 4 past them gives me some hope. I enjoyed my day out at your place last week. Even some of the stewards smiled.
