If I recall correctly last time we were in the NL segregation was not in force at every game. Speaking as someone who enjoyed the days of being able to walk right round the ground during a game and enjoy different views I wonder if this will now again be the case following our relegation?
I also know many of the crowd like to see their team from behind each goal, changing ends at half time. Will this again be the case or will some health and safety nonsense prevent it?

Since away fans will be allocated the ‘curva’ it suggests that a) segregation will remain in place, but b) home fans will access behind both goals, and if so inclined, can change ends.

Isn't this allocation of the curva going to annoy home fans? It's pretty much where the ultras stand. Actually, it's directly behind where I normally stand. Or stood.

From my pov, yes it is. The best standing view of the pitch is on la curva. But, what was the away end needs to be for home fans and the away fans need to go somewhere.

It is a poor viewing ground but i believe the park side terrace to have the best view.

La Curva has been the best view in the ground for years, not where he stands, just a few yards to his left! But as he says we do need the covered ends behind the goals if we want to start having an atmosphere like away matches. I am willing to moan (slightly) less about it if I can see the benefits.

Sorry i beg to disagree. Having stood on La Curva many a time i find that the view to the Collingwood road end is not as clear than standing on the parkside terrace especially around the half way line. However it is subjective and we all have our favourite places to stand or sit.

Do we know where the away fans will be seated during the segregated games as I'm sure we'll have to offer seats...

For a view of the whole pitch la curva is better because it is higher and thus you get a better idea of pattern of play, distances between players, etc. Probably why tv gantries are generally high up not close to ground level.

OK, it is a little flashy but I think people knew what I meant. You know that the origin of fans is fanatics, yes? That. Those who stand (or stood) on the curva really do live it. For better or worse.
